A little more about Amira

Amira's (extremely brief at the moment) obituary is posted at Legacy.com; choose "Victoria Lynn Bedford".

As I understand it secondhand, by November of last year she was suffering from the return of a tumor, and this time she had decided not to receive chemo or radiation.

This is everything I know at the moment.

I, I hate being reminded of mortality. I came across just a few weeks ago and it left me befuddled. I have been fortunate, or maybe not, to have such things exist only in the abstract. It has always been far, far away -- mostly for the very, very old or people far, far away from me.

I just saw the link in Barb's LJ. I knew she was sick and had half-expected this since Bruce scared me this summer (that's another story), but I had no idea the tumor had returned. She was an awesome woman and I wish she could've lived to be the elderly grand dame she should've been.
