EDIT: Short version of the rant that was in this spot:

Many commenters on Slashdot are fools.

Now I will go and try to write something else that's actually interesting.

Uuuhhhh...what was the original rant?

Let's see if I can keep this short: Apple is suing a company called Psystar for making illegal Mac clones. Slashdot commenter thinks Apple should license the Mac OS to any Taiwan computer maker that asks, just so he can have a $400 Mac desktop. Slashdotter, confused by the long-time Apple / Microsoft rivalry, hasn't noticed that Apple actually makes its operating cash selling hardware - hardware that just happens to come with a good OS - and thus would slit its own throat if it did that.

(We know this because Apple tried it in the nineties and nearly wiped itself out doing so.)

If one's going to make business plan suggestions to a company, it would be useful to know what business the company's actually in, first.

Ah, thanks. I didn't see the original rant and your post looked blank.
