When sampled songs attack

"Legend of a Cowgirl" is a much cooler song than "Sunshine Superman", which I can't stand.

However, "You're so Vain" was fine the way it was and didn't need sampling, thank you.

A) I don't like You're so Vain, for the simple fact that the song IS about the person.

B)Okay, did Legend of a Cowgirl sample, or is it being sampled? Because I love Imani Coppola's version, I have it on my playlist, it's actually my D&D characters theme song.
